A mix of cottage and country style

The garden is a good size, around 300m2, and is longer than it is wide, running away from the house at an interesting (challenging) angle. We opened up the view so that more of the garden could be seen from the house. A mix of cottage & country garden style planting was used, along with some favourite Mediterranian plants.

Our client wanted to keep a lawn, but we introduced definition and zoning to the garden with the use of appropriate edging and planting. Pocket planting through gravel keeps the maintenance down around the kitchen garden.
